Once only distilled in Scotland, USA, Ireland, and Canada, now there is a whole wide world of whiskies.  In this panel discussion, host Nate Gana, @singlemaltdaily, Lew Bryson, Senior Drinks Writer for the Daily Beast, and Camper English, creator of,  will explore whiskies from lesser-known regions including India, Taiwan, Australia, Sweden, France, Japan, Italy, Mexico, and more.

They will cover:

  • The types of whiskies that are produced 
  • How these whiskies are evolving the style of whisk(e)y

Nate Gana, @nategana & Co-Founder of Bevridge
Following his passion for luxury whisky, Nate founded @SingleMaltDaily in 2015. Quickly garnering respect and influence within the luxury whisky market, Nate has evolved his social influence & whisky knowledge to become a featured contributor in publications including Food & Wine, Forbes, Men's Journal, and UPROXX. He has also been selected as a two-time judge at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Nate has been invited to host whisky education events for companies all over the world including Google, Nike, Facebook, lnstagram, Netflix, VICE, among others. Nate also co-founded Bevridge in March 2021.

He is the pioneer of the "directional freezing" technique to make perfectly clear ice that is used around the world. Camper is a judge of the SF World Spirits Competition, a former World's 50 Best Bars polling coordinator, and the founder/writer of,, and his main website He has been voted one of the 100 most influential figures in the global bar industry all three years of Drinks International's Bar World 100 list.
Lew Bryson
Lew Bryson has been writing about beer and spirits full-time since 1995. He was the managing editor of Whisky Advocate for 20 years and is currently a Senior Drinks Writer for the Daily Beast and a columnist for Craft Spirits Magazine.  Bryson is the author of Tasting Whiskey (Storey Publishing, 2014), a broad survey of the whiskeys of the world, their history and manufacture; and Whiskey Master Class (Harvard Common Press, 2020), a deep dive on all aspects of whiskey flavor creation.
